Personal History and Qualifications
Justin McKay graduated from Northern Arizona University and attended the Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law. Throughout his legal career, he has worked almost exclusively in high-end litigation. Justin has fought for the rights of victims both in personal injury and in complex probate, trust and estate litigation. Justin focuses on cases involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, financial exploitation and elder abuse. Justin has helped recover of millions of dollars for victims of negligence, abuse and exploitation.
Justin previously ran a technology consulting business and has developed automation systems for civil and probate matters. Justin received the CALI award while at the public defender for his outstanding performance and advocacy. He has done considerable research and writing regarding gender and family legal policy. This work led to receiving yet another CALI award. In addition to his scholastic achievements, Justin has dedicated considerable time and efforts to pro bono work. A recurring theme throughout Justin's professional career has been a commitment to exceptional advocacy through cutting edge methods.
Co-founder of Phoenix based civil litigation firm Goodnow|McKay. The firm is dedicated to fighting on behalf of injury victims across the country. Goodnow|McKay focuses on handling complex civil litigation cases with advocacy of the highest quality.
Juris Doctor from Harvard of the Southwest. Recipient of the CALI Award in the ASU Public Defender Clinic, the CALI Award in Gender & Family Policy, and the Pro Bono distinction for 50 hours of pro bono work in 2015.
Graduated from a nationally respected Jesuit institution.
Engaged in continuous high-value probate and civil litigation. Practice includes trial experience, managing numerous guardianship and conservatorship matters—
including emergency and contested cases.
Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Outdoor Recreation from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.
